Max Ackermann is responsible for the construction of Nima’s first site for ultra-fast charging that the company is building on Sallerupsvägen in Malmö.

Nima Energy (Nima) has now started the construction of its first site for ultra-fast EV charging in Malmö on Sallerupsvägen next to the beltway Inre Ringvägen. With a total of 20 charging points, this will be the municipality’s largest station for ultra-fast 400 kW EV charging with a possibility to charge up to 300 km in about 15 minutes.

Nima has now started the construction of its first site for ultra-fast EV charging* in Malmö on Sallerupsvägen next to the beltway Inre Ringvägen.

In total, Nima is building 20 charging points with a capacity of up to 400 kW, offering the possibility to charge up to 300 km in about 15 minutes. The site, which is expected to be completed by the summer, will thus be Malmö’s largest site for 400 kW ultra-fast EV charging.

With its 20 charging points, Nima doubles the number of ultra-fast EV chargers in Malmö. In addition, this summer, Nima will start building an additional 20 ultra-fast charging points on Topplocksgatan in Toftanäs and will thus be able to offer Malmö’s largest network for ultra-fast EV charging during the year.

“Public ultra-fast EV charging in good locations and at a competitive price is especially important for electric car owners without access to overnight charging and for commercial transport such as taxis,” says Marcus Landelin, CEO of Nima Energy.

In addition to fast, it should also be easy to charge at Nima. You can always tap your card or Apple/Samsung/Google Pay directly on a card reader on the charger. You can also pay via Nima’s app, where you can also register autocharge – then you don’t even have to tap your card, but charging starts automatically when the charger is connected to the car. Regardless of the payment method, the price is SEK 4.50 per kWh for the time being.

“It feels great that we have now started to build our first site for ultra-fast charging in Malmö. Thanks to the site, we will soon be able to offer everyone who drives an electric car in and around the city a fast and easy charging experience at a good price,” says Marcus Landelin.

Nima’s ultra-fast network is growing
In total, Nima has five sites with a total of 34 charging points for ultra-fast charging and is currently building another seven sites – two of which are in Malmö – with a total of 150 ultra-fast charging points from Skåne to Stockholm as the goal. Nima plans to build as many as 1250 charging points in the Nordic region by the end of 2026.

The site is partly financed by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency via Klimatklivet.

*Nima’s definition of ultra-fast charging is chargers with a capacity of at least 300 kW.
