Today, November 25, Nima opens its new charging station at Topplocksgatan 23, located next to the outer ring road and the E6, equipped with ultra-fast* chargers with an output of up to 300 kW. With the opening of the new charging station, Nima doubles its range of ultra-fast chargers in Malmö. Together with the station at Ahrenbergsgatan 2, which was inaugurated earlier this year, Nima now offers the city’s largest network for ultra-fast charging of electric vehicles. With a total of 40 ultra-fast charging points, Nima simplifies charging for residents, travelers and taxi companies.

The station was inaugurated by Andreas Schönström (S), Chairman of tekniska nämnden in the City of Malmö, Stephan Müchler, CEO of Sydsvenska handelskammaren, Jessica Krook, Head of unit for local network distribution at EON, and Marcus Landelin, CEO of Nima Energy.

– We are thrilled to continue contributing to the electrification of Malmö’s transport sector. With our expanded network, we are making it easier for both electric car owners and commercial transport operators to charge their vehicles, while supporting Malmö’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 70 percent by 2030, says Marcus Landelin, CEO of Nima Energy.

Nima’s ultra-fast network is growing

Nima wants to strengthen the transition to a fossil-free vehicle fleet by building charging infrastructure that meets the needs of tomorrow’s electric vehicles. Nima will soon have 11 stations with a total of 142 charging points for ultra-fast charging in Sweden. The goal is to build a total of 1250 charging points in the Nordic region within 36 months.
